higher dose !!?

Hello everyone ---

my question is : i was diagnosed with panic disorder 2 years ago and iv been takin .5 mg(half pill) of xanax twice a day in the first year then my doctor reduced it to .25 pill a day ,,,,,yesterday i took a .5 mg pill by mistake(thought it was the .25)_ i'm just worried is it ok ? or should i tell my doctor about it ?

thank u guys for ur comments........ i was really thinkin' about taking a less dose (or not takin any for a day )  but i think u guys are right it wont do any good ,,,, i'll get back to my regular dose 'n just hope  i'll stop takin' it one day :) ...

Yes, I have been on xanax in the past, and you should be fine.  I would agree with beefree that you shouldn't try to compensate and to just go back to your regular dosage tomorrow.

Yes you should be okay. Don't try compensate by taking less tomorrow, just get back on your regular routine. You can definitely mention it to your doctor if you're concerned, but my guess is the most you'll feel is an increase in side effects.
