Have you ever had a day in which you experience nothing but panic attacks?

Today from like 10 a.m till 7 p.m. I had panic attacks. I felt very hot sensastion on the outside of my body but cold in the inside. I had tremors. I couldn't eat. My heart was beating very hard. I couldn't sleep even though I felt very tired. My mouth was very dry. I kept feeling nauseous, my knees were weak( i had to be carful when I walked cause I would almost fall over with every step), and of course I felt fear. And my mind started to wander off and start to think awful things about my health and future that didn't help the situation. The saddest part was that I had suicidal thoughts. Basically I felt horrible today.

Anyone ever had a day that was nothing but panic attacks or full of very high anxiety? How did you feel? Was there anything that helped?

I have had days where my anxiety is really high.  It is tough to get through it.  Try keeping a journal it can be a great outlet to help you get some of what is making you anxious out.

I agree that going for a walk would be helpful.  I notice that when my anxiety is high if I give it to it then it only gets worse but if I try and push through by going for a walk or exercising it does become more manageable.

If you are not already seeing a psychatrists I would suggest that you start seeing one.  The only way to overcome the anxiety is to get to the bottom of what is causing it and a psychatrist can help you do just that.

Good Luck.  I hope you feel better soon....

Hey, sorry to hear that you have been feeling this way, but on the bright side of things, you are here and alive! Nothing is worse than going through a anxiety attack medicated or not, so I can relate to what you were feeling. But the best advice is to keep calm, introduce new activities that you can manage and try to see if that works. I never use to walk, i'd always jog, but when I felt an anxiety attack coming on, I went for a walk. Everytime for about 5 months, through some extreme weather too (living up here in Canada..lol) I found myself finding a way to slowly bring my attack down to a level where i could control it or let the medication do the rest. So try a new activity, it may help. And dont be ashamed, scared or intimidated if you need to try some medication out. It can help, things like Xanax, Clonazepam, Ativan, Immovane, help out, but be aware before starting a dose that these benzo's can lead to dependacy heavily! Talk to your family doc, maybe seeking further attention like a councellor or so on will help too. Take care!!!

I've been having a lot of days like that lately. I bought some tension tamer tea and make that to help my nerves and stomach. I try to get as comfortable as possible in bed or on the couch and watch tv or a movie. I also try and do crosswords or sudoku. Anything to keep at least half my mind occupied. Its been very difficult but I've been making it through. I found that calling family and friends and talking to them about it helps too. Good luck. I know what you're going through and I'm sorry that you're experiencing it.
