im not sure if this is anxiety

hi everyone i really need help. about 6 months ago i had an episode where i felt this rush of heat surge through my body.. and i almost passed out.. i felt nausous and very scared. i kept getting the heat rush for about 2 hours on and off. this happened for about 2 months every few days. then it stopped.. it has been about 2 months and i have had NOTHING until about a week ago.. now its been daily for the past 5 days. i get the rush of heat in my body i feel faint and my chest feels tight. i feel like my throat is closing up. i feel like i cant breathe correctly. and i get heart patipilations too.. please help if anyone has ever had this.. everyone keeps saying it anxiety but it just doesnt feel right and its been going on for days again.. im so scared..

you should go into your dr get a check up just to make sure all is good with you , if you have not talk to a dr yet.

anytime you have heart  paps if you have never had them before / chest tight you need to have it checked out. does sound like anxiety but better to be safe

Yes you are experiencing a panic attack, my first panic attack was exactly like you're describing.  I have only had one because I talk myself down from them when I feel antsy.  When you feel like your going to have one, try breathing in deep, hold your hand against your stomach, feel your stomach expand with the breath, open your mouth and breath out slowly.  Do this a few times, it will help calm you down.  Are you on any meds to help you cope with anxiety and panic?  If not, you should consider it, I'm on Prozac and Clonazapam.
