pain

ok so i have been on med for anxiety for a couple of months now and i am still getting shooting/stabbing pains in my head.....i have told 2 doctors that i am still getting them and they are both saying that if it was something serious there would have been other symptoms/signs by now.....all though they are saying that i still worry.....could it still be my anxiety causing the pain are the doctors right or could it be more to it??.......any feedback would be great thanks

Have you done any relevant tests? MRI et al? If your Dr. has done all tests then and only then should you accept their diagnosis.  If you have a gut feeling it is something else--especially when describe sharp pains which sound a bit scary to me--but follow your instinct.  I do know anxiety can manifest in many physical symptoms and we must be careful not to let our minds run away with it.  However exhaust all avenues like most of us had to and then and only then accept that it is truly anxiety.

i was getting pains in my head before going on the med.......and with other signs the docs put it down to anxiety....but they are adamant that is nothing serious?

I would recommend seeing a neurologist. I suffer from anxiety but never had stabbing pains in my head.

What medication are you taking? Anything is possible with medication. I have had some bad side effects to meds myself.
