paxil to zoloft
I have only been on Paxil 20mg for 6 days and my doc wants me to switch to zoloft100 and stop the paxil. Do you think I will have bad side affects of doing this?
I am seeing a psyiatrist. This was the way she wanted to handle it. However, the day after I posted this, I did start feeling a LITTLE better so I didn't make the switch yet. I go see the Doc on monday and will let her know that I didn't make the switch. Hope she isn't pissed. But I just feel like the Paxil worked for me before and should again, eventually!
That's a strange switch, but you shouldn't have any problem after only six days. If you want to play it safe, you can first drop to 10mg for a couple days and then alternate days and go off it before starting the Zoloft, but why start at 100 and not 50mg? Are you seeing a psychiatrist or a regular doc?
