is anyone on 80 mg of prozac??? can you tell me how is different then 40mg???
I need to up my dose....

Yes it is wrong...you need to follow your prescription.  DO NOT self medicate; that is why they are prescribed medications.  You need to follow the instructions.  If you have concerns or think you need to adjust dosage you need to talk to your doctor.  He/She probably would not double it anyway...especially right away.  Keep us posted!

It is a higher dosage.  Doctors will usually wait and see if you are getting the desired effect from your current dosage...if not they will sometimes raise it.  Did your doctor say why he/she was raising it?
