restless@night

i am 34 yr old male, relatively stressful job, eat healthy, dont smoke or drink yet suffer from restlessness and rapid heart rate at nights. dont know if its anxiety or somethign else. all my lab work is normal(e.g. thyroid, LDL, potassium, etc..) stress test, and echo normal. is there any meds i can take to help me cope with this.

Check what you are eating....MSG has 13 other names and causes anxiety among other neurological symptoms.  It is in 60% of our boxed/boxed frozen meals so read all labels.
Check the web for more info.  Chamomile tea relaxes the body.  When you start getting anxious thoughts...just remember those are just thoughts.  You can go to your "happy' thoughts...Completely relax your body.  Take deep, slow long breaths.  Start relaxing each and every muscle.  Melt!  Then start focusing on all tranquil places you desire.  Hope this helps!

Now that you have ruled out other causes, you need to see a psychiatrist to address anxiety as being your problem.  I recommend a psychiatrist because they are most knowledgable with the medications used to treat this.  Therapy is good as well to help learn why your are so anxious, and how to deal with it. Take care.
