Xanax will do the job, but try it once before the day of your speaking. Always remember, almost everyone you're talking to is very happy that it's not them up there speaking and are envious of you! Be the first to laugh at yourself if you make a mistake and you will put everyone at ease. Good luck and take care.

Yes, I will be speaking to a large group, I normally get too nervous whole body shakes where I can't hold the mic and I sweat a lot where people notice.

It will help. But if you're referring to public speaking to a large group of people, I suggest you take one prior to that day to make sure it isn't too sedating for you. If it's being prescribed for social anxiety, it will calm you down allowing you to feel better about conversing with others. The more you are able to talk, the easier it will get. Best wishes.
