I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine your heart pain. To have other pain on top of that, it makes total sense you would be in turmoil.
Yes, unfortunately, Fibromyalgia can kick booty pretty hard. Also, unfortunately, I let it.
It can come with many other little gremlins (depression, stress, lack of interest in anything, anxiety...and many others) that create the 'future' of having Fibro...the "have it for life" part. Had I known way back when what I know now, I would have absolutely made changes so that I didn't allow it to take over my life.
Please research more on what other people have gone through and what they have done. Remember, though, no one that has Fibro is exactly the same as the next person that has it. We all suffer similarly different...never exactly the same.
There is no bloodtest so the rule of thumb for diagnosing it is based on 18 'trigger points' [9 on each side of the body] - (or at least it was 18 when I was diagnosed - that could've changed) and also your history that you give your doctor (go in with a list!).
Remember too, it might not be Fibro. They can, and probably will do bloodtests to rule out other things b4 coming to the diagnosis of FM.
What kind of doc are you going to on Monday?
They do have a Fibromyalgia Forum on here. Maybe check that out too. It could be helpful.
Good luck now
KIT and let us know.
I wish I could wave a magic wand for ya.
Thank you for the response.
I saw my doctor today and asked him about anything else it could be and he said he didn't know because all of my tests are coming back normal. So I persuaded him to send me for an allergy test next month. However, the same swollen sensation/palpitation/fatigue thing happened again today and all I had was a pop-tart. So now I feel even more lost. He said that whatever it is it's nothing serious and the possibility of fibromyalgia came up. It is related to serotonin levels as well and can affect anxiety which could be why I am always sore, have no energy and anxiety symptoms on top of it.
So I have decided to see another doctor about this on monday(the earliest I could see her) and see if she thinks it is fibromyalgia or maybe other tests that should be run. I am definitely having a bad day and after researching that there is no cure for fibromyalgia, my mood has only gotten worse. It says that certain foods can trigger a reaction, same with the change in weather, and it can also be triggered by a physical or emotional trauma...I had a miscarriage back in september and symptoms began showing in October.
Thank you so much for you reply...It has given me back a bit of hope that I seem to be running short on lately. Take care.

Gotta love those blasted docs who add to friends and family comments about it being all in your head - you are here and here for a reason...you aren't getting answers or compassion from anywhere else. That is not helpful for those around you to treat you that way. Of course you are feeling helpless. So, what to do? First, trust yourself. You know your body best and when it is not behaving normally, you know something is wrong.
Since all those tests came back ok suggesting (just suggesting!) that your overall health is okay, take a look at the symptoms again...
Swelling body during sleep - you said you know this is normal. I don't think it is normal. At rest, swelling should be relieved. Think about this. What do we do when our feet swell? We lay down and put them up and rest. The swelling goes down. So, IMO the swelling should be looked at. Anything new in your home? A new pet? New bedding? New laundry soap? Eat anything new? Been bit or stung prior to this? (Are you in a wood-tick area?) etc
You also posted you took an allergy pill? What allergy(ies) are you taking allergy pills for? Swelling is a sign of an allergic reaction, especially the throat thing. The fact that once you took the allergy pill it "wasn't quite as severe" suggests you probably are on the right track. The tests you mentioned here wouldn't show an allergy unless the blood work involved was specifically designed for allergy testing.
If you have had anxiety all your life you know by now what is and isn't anxiety.
IMO tell your doc that.
Kindest thoughts
Thank you for your reply. I usually eat something with dairy in it as well before I drink the chocolate milk. I noticed it happened a few days ago and all I had was a piece of lasagna and bread with butter. I took an allergy pill when I felt it starting...since I have to experiment on my own, since my doctor thinks its all in my head...and it wasn't quite as severe, butr not by much.
I'm feeling pretty helpless at this point. This feeling is what my first symptoms were before the anxiety officially kicked in but nobody will listen to me. I've had anxiety all my life and not once before this had it made me feel the things I feel now, yet my doctor insists its anxiety.
Thanks again...I'm seeing him tomorrow so hopefully it'll be different this time.

are you eating anything before you drink the chocolate milk? maybe your getting too much sugar at once, maybe lactose intolorant? the fatique usually happens after an anxiety attack not before, but not always. heart palpitations are common with anxiety. there are alot of different things that people feel during a panic attack. if your dr. is'nt listening to you then it may be time to get a new one. remar
