Iron Infusion vs Iron supplements

hi for the past week i have been experiencing headaches and nausea and after visiting my doctor it was said that  i had below normal iron levels. they were going to refer me for an iron infusion but one other doctor decided against it. i have been given iron supplements and two days after taking the supplements i have been experiencing lightheadedness and the nausea still remains.

i was wondering if anyone has had an iron infusion before and if it was beneficial to them?

Headaches and nausea are not the first symptoms of anemia.  You might have something else going on besides low iron.  Try taking a multi-vitamin with extra B, and get back to the doctor if the nausea doesn't go away.
