Changes in a males breast

Hello!
About 4 weeks ago, I noticed that my 75 year old husbands nipples had brown scabs/crust around them.  The exact location is predominetlly just below tne nipple and off to the side of the nipple.  I'm really worried that it might be cancer.  He has no discharge and does not itch.  There is no swelling of the breast and there has been no trauma.
What do you think?  I've pleaded with him to go the the dermatologist but does not think he needs to.  What would you do?

Good point about this affecting both nipples, and which really makes the diagnosis a lot less likely to be cancer related.

Hi,
I am sending you these two links below, to view some images and I hope it helps a little.

Your husband may or may not have this disease. In my opinion,I doubt that it could be cancer, since this is happening on both his nipples. This could be a skin problem, eczema,  fungal infection,or perhaps an allergy of some sort that has to be seen by a dermatologist for correct diagnosis. Also keep in mind that the skin on the breast is like skin anywhere else on the body and is subject to many abnormalities. You know that over the internet we can only guess and guessing is never a sure thing...So please do your best to convince your husband to seek medical advice.

The first link shows a cancerous lesion on a man's chest.
The second deals with seborrheic keratosis,a non cancerous growth that occurs mostly in elderly people.

Thanks for your advice.  I'm going to talk to him today.  Do you know of any images on-line that would show what male breast looks like?  He might pay attention if he could see that images look like his chest.

I was kidding about the divorce, etc. I do think though that this may be skin cancer, and if it is, then at this point it is very easy to remove.

I agree with you, and your worry that your husband may very well have skin cancer.

You need for him to see a Dermatologist.

I would tell him that you hear him clearly saying that he is not interested in seeing a doctor, and that this would be fine except for the fact that you are his wife, sleep close to his body, and are in many ways, (like visually) exposed to his 'thing', and which even may be contagious. That he needs to think about you as well here, and that he is not the only one who has rights and should be considered......something like that.
