I noticed a dimple on my left breast below my nipple and all i can find on the internet about breast dimple is breast cancer, breast cance . I want to let every one know that i had a mammogram and ultra sound done and it was not cancer infact it is just a sign of gravity changes in the breast . I am 31 yrs old and have 2 beautiful healthy breast. Women, a dimple does not always mean cancer but to be on the safe side get it checked out. I hope this message helps any one who is turning to the internet for answers like i did.

The patient's breasts are placed on a firm flat panel, and a gentle but firm pressure is applied to the breast with another panel, resulting in compression of the breast between the two panels. The compression causes a degree of discomfort that lasts only for a few seconds. This compression is necessary because it spreads the breast tissue, thus giving a clear picture. We are all afraid of mammogram results...but we have to be optimistic as much as we can and always hope for the best. Before your mom has her mammogram she must not use any antiperspirant, powder, lotion etc.. because these substances may make the interpretation of the results more difficult.PS.I am not Dr Beam.. but I hope that I have been of some help. Best wishes to your mom.
I HAVE A SMALL QUESTION FOR YOU ,MY MOM WANTS TO KNOW HOW THEY DO A MAMMOGRAM .BECAUSE SHE HAS TO GET ONE DONE AND SHE IS A LITTLE SCARED ABOUT WHAT THE TEST RESULTS WILL SAY.
Was the mammogram / Ultrasound done because of this problem you mention now or for some other reason ?? I would advise you to see your Physician since you should get the explanation of the two reports from him/her anyway. Neither of these examinations should cause these symptoms. We can't speculate over the internet as to what the cause might be so please see your Dr. ..... Regards
