Cat hiding since return from vet

One more question about my beloved Spirit! First-I think she picked up a kitty cold @ the vet; she started sneezing alot last night-I picked her up the day before yesterday-should I do anything special? She's NOT coughing-I know kennel cough is dangerous; she's just sneezing. No yucky snottums or eye discharge and her appetite is normal.  Second-she's been tucking herself away in the bathroom hamper which they use once in a while as a "fort"-it's one of those tall, fully enclosed types that they've shredded to pieces so we've covered it w/a decorative cloth so they can scratch away but it's not unsightly. She's behaving a little withdrawn and less chipper than the day I first brought her home. I'm giving her the meds-she surely doesn't appreciate this and I try to be as gentle as possible. Is she just being antisocial because she doesn't feel well?

Oh, poor Spirit.  I agree with Opus, S.  The meds are making her feel unwell, especially if she's on a pain med.  The *cold* is probably herpes.  It's showing itself due to stress - and is most common unfortunately.

I'm so sorry I haven't been here for you!  My thoughts and prayers are with Spirit, honey.  And like Opus said - as long as Spirit is eating/drinking/pottying, then that's a good sign.

its common for them to get some side effects from any medication and Spirit is on 2.....as long as she's eating/drinking/going potty than don't worry about her being a little withdrawn, if her behavior becomes more serious contact your Vet, they may need to give her a different med or lower dose....-)
