for the first time I found mucas and small amount of blood in stool. He seems to be his normal self, except he did not use cat litter box. I checked stool in cat litter box and seemed ok.
Thanks
You need to get your cat's blood tested A.S.A.P!!! A blood test may cost around $100-150, but it's worth it because it will should give you/your vet an idea of what is causing the blood in it's stool. My cat has had blood in stool, diarrhea, vomitting every once a week or so, and he had a bald patch of fur on his back. I took him in for a blood test and it revealed that he has hyperparathyroidism, which could be cancerous. Blood in stool is definatley something to not take lightly, so don't let your vet pass it off as a food/allergy problem, like my vet did for 2 years. It sounds like your cat might have hyperthyroidism (which is different from hyperparathyroidism) which can be managed with medication, radiation treatment, or surgery. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
YOu should take your cat to a vet ASAP. It could have some illness that is not food-nutrition related. Blood in a stool is not from food. Please call around for vets that you can afford if the money is tight. Some vets might be able to offer a discount as well.
I have it mixed. I am feeding it the good life and 9 lives. I know it's really cheap stuff, but that's all I could afford at the time when I got it. I would prefer to feed it somthing else, but I had to get back on my feet. I lost my job and I was barely making it.

What are you feeding the cat now? Losing hair is a sign of illness-- either thyroid or liver problems, or sometimes food allergies.
