yeah thats ok. my mum has been watching him today and she said that he hasnt done it today and that he has just been himself. I called my vet and they are booked for a week and a half :S
Hi hon, I am also glad to hear your bringing him to the vet! You're doing the right thing.
As far as making him more comfortable, I would just offer lots of fresh water and lots of wet food, until you see the vet. I know they will give you some more detailed instructions, once they know what kind of urine crystals Whiskey is forming. There are 2 kinds-calcium and struvite crystals. They are both treated in different ways.
Dang......I should've thrown a link up here, but didn't realize that I was gonna get into all that about the crystals. =( I'll try to find something a little later!
good for you I'm so relieved that you will be having him examined by a Vet.....its best to be sure. Make sure the Vet does a ph level test as well as the U/A. (urinalysis) the best thing you can do for your cat is to give him canned food...no more dry and to have lots of fresh water avail so he drinks as much as possible.
good luck hon and please let us know the results from the Vet visit okay...♥
Ok thanx. ill have him to docs by weekend.
He still wee's in his litter no prob.
should there be somethin i can do for now b4 the vet to help?
No, it's not a good thing at all. All of the squatting that Whiskey, a neutered male, is doing is not normal at all. I'd be willing to bet that he's got a urine crystal problem. He needs to see a vet ASAP to get his urine tested(pretty inexpensive) to see what kind of urine crystals he's got. Once you find that out, you'll be able to alter his diet and possibly give him some meds to prevent this from happening again........and, it most likely WILL. Don't let it get to the point where he gets blocked and can't urinate. You have a chance of preventing this from happening.
Please, trust us on this one! =)

PS-He might have passed a crystal, and that could be why he's stopped the squatting.
He hasnt Squatted today.
im assuming that is a good thing
