Worried about Snickers

I was home last week with the flu and noticed some unusual behavior with my boy.  First off i noticed his litter box was soaked and i mean soaked.   We have had unusually warm weather and thought it was just humidity, well that isnt the case.  I cleaned his box every other day and am doing it everyday now due to the wetness.  No pipes or anything above his box.  All wood is dry.  I havent changed litter nor have i changed his food.  His appetite isnt as great as it was but he has had a HUGE increase in drinking water.  He has been laying by the waterbowl and sleeping which he does quite often now.  He is still grooming himself to a point.  He doesnt give himself the all over baths like he usually did.  Stools are good.  He is now 11.  Has had kidney issues when he was younger and eats a specialty food that has worked wonders for him.  I know he needs to be seen by the vet and i will be making the appt in the morning but i am hoping someone can shed some light on this.    Thank you~

OMG poor little Snickers...thank God you did get him into the Vet as soon as you did, he really needs their care right now until he is stabilized.
the insulin shots are IM as you discovered therefore should be easy to become familiar with....good for you for handling these so well, not everyone can.
I'm concerned that he vomited following the injection, did the Vet give you are reason why?
I am sending you both some good {{{{vibes}}}} so Snickers can adjust and come home real soon.
please keep us posted, we are all pulling for the little guy ♥

Thank you opus.  It is so comforting to have you and Jade here.  The vet did say that vomiting is very common with his glucose being so high.  Seizures can also happen she said.  He is being treated with such compassion there.  They are all so loving with our pets.

Patience isnt one of my better qualities so i am working on that one real hard.  I want him better right now and home.

He is on PZI, and i fill it to the 4 so dont know if that is cc or what.
