Well Ashes, I always called, mom. I called her that her whole life. She had a litter of kittens, and mothered everyone and everything. Her son , Sox, we have always called Soxie.
Stardust is Baby, Tugger, The Pookertin, Princess, Miss Priss, Lady, HRH, and of course little kitty.
I have no idea how old she is, bit she is my baby.
I called Dozey my baby boy up until the day he died. He was born at home with 5 other brothers and sisters to our half wild cat named Boo. I've had kitten since he was 8 weeks old and I've always called him baby...still do even though he is about 14lbs lol.
We had one litter at home, and after we gave away the others at 2 and 3 months old, little Pashmina, the mother, nursed her one remaining kitten until he was larger than she was. In fact, much larger. Pashi never tipped the scales at more than 8 lbs., and Crackerjack, her little boy, probably nursed until he was a year old and at least 12 lbs. Pashi was black, and her bottom two nipples were in use so long that the hair around them never filled in again, so when she would sit up, the two pink circles on her lower tummy would look at you like eyes. :) I just put Crackerjack in for the night about a half hour ago, and though I was practically straining my back to pick his huge body up (he has gained at least 6 more pounds over the years), I was saying, "Come on, sweet little guy, time for bed."
Our last cat, Abby, came to us as a very tiny kitten and I always called her Baby Girl til the day she died. Jade, being a full grown 5-6yr old when she came - that endearment just never fit. I can see you calling the girls *kids* forever, Apple. Just like WE can occasionally be called *the kids* by our parents even though we are in our fifties :)
aww yes Apple they will ALWAYS be the 'kids'...its cute, you may have a senior 'kid' one day...lol
