5 year old poops in pants

my grandson will be 6 next week and he still poops in his pants all the time. There has been alot of stress in that household and his mom and aunt that lived there are both in jail so I know that is a problem. He should have been in kindergarden last year but that did NOT happen. The other mawmaw also lives there and she is NO help. My son works long hours as he is the ONLY  one working in that house. I get both my grandsons (one is 14) several times a week and I have tried rewards,trips,treats,even money and punishment once but NOTHING helps. My son trys and I try but I don't know what to do. When I try to talk to him about it he says he does not want to talk about it! He has had it fall on the floor and he will walk away and go hid!! Please help me I don"t know what else to do.He eats junk all the time that is all he will eat of mc donalds!

Its no bother ,I have found many times that some bullying/teasing does go on amongst siblings, the younger one gets the blame when it is in fact the older one causing the trouble out of jealousy of attention the younger child has or does get form family.Video games in excess are also a problem and unless they are supervised some are inapropiate. It is good he has you to be concerned about him, I think maybe some talking to the older child may help but maybe no one will listen, so try to keep the 6 year old away from his older bro when you can.If its at all possible and it may be a battle , get the PC, video or whatever turned off and get them outside playing ball games , using up energy and getting exercise .Good luck

Thank you so much for your concern. I am at a loss! hIS brother loves him very much and plays with him alot, but he picks at him too. I do not live there but I try to help as much as possible. The childs mother and aunt that live there are both in jail (forged prescriptions) the maw maw that lives there is a mess(medicaly but she takes too much) the 14 year old is all involved in video games that is all they both do. I have tried and I know they both havce problems because of this. I pray I can get something positive in their life to help them both. THEY the 3 WOMEN there give him anything he wants !!.Thanks I think I must need someone to talk to about all this. sorry to bother you with my problems.    ****************  butterflywolfe

This child sounds upset to me and he needs some help,how does his brother behave towards him do they get along okay? Maybe he could use some extra attention from his Dad, even if the Dad works long hours, some ball games and positive attention may help.It maybe a good idea to speak to the doctor make sure nothing else is going on , He cant eat junk at 6 year old unless hes given it, who does the shopping, and takes him out to McDonalds , by the way Mc Donalds serves healthy food now .I think he needs good positive direction, ask his Dad to be more involved , the behavior you describe in my opinion is a cry for help ..good luck
