No, it's fine especially at you age. I would retest in another couple months and make sure it doesn't get much lower. What did your doctor say about it?
In May of 2003 I had a stent inserted in my right coronary after I was discovered to have had a minor heart attack in October of 2002. For the past 12 years my cardiologist has had me take 20mg of Crestor daily and two capsules of Seacor 1000mg; additionally I have been taking two capsules of 1200 mg of Omega 3-6-9. My blood pressure is 130/80. My cardiologist has said my condition is stable. My last blood test had the following results: total cholesterol 96mg/dl, cholesterol HDL 26mg/dl, cholesterol LDL 34 mg/dl, triglyceride 181 mg/dl. My cardiologist, noting the 96mg of total cholesterol ( the lowest I have ever had, last year it was 126 ), recommended that I stop taking the 20mg of Crestor daily for 4 months for fear that my total cholesterol may be too low. At the end of these 4 months he suggested i redo the cholesterol test. I am a 70 year male. My What is your view? Thank you.
