High LDL Cholestrol, IMMATURE GRANULOCYTES(IG), High RBC

My LDL CHOLESTEROL - DIRECT has 136 mg%(Normal Range of Lab:85 - 1300). Do you think it can be controlled without medicines? Can you please suggest on diet and precautions for its reduction?

Also My Total RBC has come above normal 5.62( Normal Lab Range: 4.5-5.5) ,
IMMATURE GRANULOCYTES(IG) 0.02 below normal(Normal Range:0.03) and
BASOPHILS - ABSOLUTE COUNT 0.01 below normal(Normal Range:0.02 - 0.10). What can be the cause for this?

Also my BILIRUBIN -DIRECT is above normal 0.24(Normal Lab Range: 0 - 0.20). Do you think it is serious?

My other lipid reports are normal and are as below:

TOTAL CHOLESTEROL 200 mg%(Lab Normal Range: 125 - 200)
HDL CHOLESTEROL - DIRECT 46 mg%(Lab Normal Range:35-80)
LDL CHOLESTEROL - DIRECT 136 mg%(Lab Normal Range:85 - 130)
TRIGLYCERIDES 138 mg%(Lab Normal Range:25 - 200)
TC/ HDL CHOLESTEROL RATIO 4.4(Lab Normal Range:3.0 - 5.0)
LDL / HDL RATIO 3(Lab Normal Range:1.5 - 3.5)
VLDL CHOLESTEROL 27.6 mg%(Lab Normal Range:5 - 40)

I am not well informed on  your other results,  so I will make no comment.

What did  your doctor say?  and what is your past history on the same tests?

I'm sure with a few hours of reading,  you can learn enough more to ask the right questions of your doctors.

Yes, diet especially,  and also exercise,  can make a significant change in your cholesterol in many cases.
However,  for a large drop, you can't just trim the edges of what you eat and drink.

Most people are not ready or willing to make dramatic changes.

If you think you might be willing,  you can look up the following names of doctors who essentially all have a very similar message.  One you might or might not be willing to follow.

Dean Ornish,  Caldwell Esselstyn,  Joel Fuhrman,  John McDougall,  Neal Barnard

They all have websites,  they all have books.   You can find out a great deal about their way of eating by looking on the internet,  or in discussion groups on their sites,  or by watching Youtube videos that all of them have.
You can find hours of their talks on Youtube for free.
Decide for yourself if you are willing to make what for most is a dramatic change in diet.

Some people get amazing results,   while others get more moderate results.

Lastly you state  "My other lipid reports are normal"

A huge number of people with what is called "normal" go onto develop heart disease.
By the time people on "normal" diets,  with "normal" cholesterol,  hit age 50 and beyond,  most of them have the early or late stages of heart disease.
That is why heart disease is the biggest killer.   Because so many people feel comfortable after seeing their tests come back "normal'
What is normal in the west is not normal in many nations where diet is quite different.  You are at the very edge of "normal'  for total cholesterol where "normal" leads to a huge amount of heart disease and death.   Its only "normal' because so many people have similar levels,  not because you are in a safe zone.

Example of "normal" as you read it---

Summary:
A new national study has shown that nearly 75 percent of patients hospitalized for a heart attack had cholesterol levels that would indicate they were not at high risk for a cardiovascular event, according to current national cholesterol guidelines.
