Pat Robertson & Rush Limbaugh & Haiti

What is wrong with these 2 idiots?  Pat Robertson saying the Haitians made a pact with the devil years ago and this is why they're being punished and then Rush Limbaugh telling people NOT to send money, that we already send Haiti money threw our taxes. Granted, some of our tax money may go to Haiti, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't help with this disaster! These 2 A-Holes need to be gone. How can anyone be so heartless, cold and so, soooo stupid? They certainly give good Christians a bad name.

I'm responding to the headline.  It amazes me how people make judgment on something "they hear" or "read somewhere" but don't take a few minutes to research it to see exactly what was said.  As for Robertson, yes, he said exactly what is posted, but as for Rush if somebody would have taken less than 5 minutes to go on his website and read the transcript.  Below is part of that transcript, but you can read it for yourself on Rush's website.


RUSH:  Where did you hear that I discouraged donations to Haiti?

CALLER: Uh, I read it in, uh, a news thing called the Huffington Post, but that's not the point.  I was going to finish my sentence if that's okay with you.

RUSH:  Well, but what you just said is a lie.  They reported a lie.  I did not discourage donations to Haiti.

CALLER:  Okay.  Well, um, actually the point I was getting to, whether or not you said that -- which actually I believe you did. But...

RUSH:  No, it's not "whether or not." That matters.  I mean you call here and ask, "Where do I get off suggesting that we don't donate to Haiti because we do in the income tax?" and I tell you I said that, but I also said private donations are going to be much better than a government donation.  They're all going, go to the Red Cross, do other things, don't go through the government. It's just going to go through hands and bureaucracies and a dollar is going to end up being 30 cents by the time they get through with it.  I did not say, "Don't make donations."  That's not a "whether or not" thing. That's why you called.


And here is my opinion:  Obama is sending 100 mill from our taxpayers money to Haiti.  Obama is "thinking" about sending 45 thousand Haitians to Florida which will mean they will be on welfare and free healthcare at least until they find jobs.  Obama is also giving the ILLEGAL Haitians who are already living in the U.S. amnesty.  I'm not posting this to "argue" whether this is right or not, I'm making the point that we taxpayers are paying for all the above.  We are already "donating" whether we like it or not.  Our great military is already there.  Thousands of Marines, the 82nd Airborne, the Air Force and a Navy Hospital ship is on its way to Haiti, this ship has 3 operating rooms among many other things.  We taxpayers paying for it for which I have absolutely NO problem with, but this is OUR contribution, and if people still want to give as in to the Red Cross etc etc that is fine,  .

Nobody should be criticized for not giving "additional" on top of what we taxpayers already pay for/contributing to, and what Rush meant by not contributing to the government he did not mean what we taxpayers are already paying for, but aside from that,government agencies who want your money because like he said only 30 cents out of a dollar would go there.  He NEVER discouraged people to donate to the Red Cross etc, go on his website and read the transcripts, I did!  I also listen to him every day and know what is/was said.
