Bug bite on face

About 3 or 4 weeks ago I got a bug bite on my face. At least I think it was a bug bite, it was white and was red around it. Now the white part of it is gone, but it left a red mark on my face and the surrounding area is still red a little bit. Is that going to stay there forever or will the redness go away? Thank you for taking the time to read and/or answer this.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Sometimes bug bites can cause an inflammatory reaction which can cause post inflammatory hyperpigmentation changes. The treatment consists of azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion.

I suggest you to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
