Mystery Bump on Ring Finger

I have had a red bump (granule?) on the base (palm side) of my left hand ring finger that's about five years old. It doesn't hurt at all and I don't notice it. If I apply pressure to it, it does twinge a little bit. It is not squeezable like acne. A very long time ago a friend told me it might be a blood blister but I'm not sure. However, I would like to know what it is and if it is possible to get rid of it. I am posting three side by side shots in one photo. One is regular, one has a profile view, and one is taken with my finger stretched back (the redness disappears). It kind of looks like the center is hollow but it is actually solid and somewhat raised above my skin with the surrounding redness.
