I was just treated with cryosurgery today, so I don't know yet if it worked. I just wanted to comment that I broke out with genital Molluscum three weeks ago, and I haven't had sexual contact in 9 months. I don't share towels, haven't gone swimming, don't go to a gym, and I always wash my hands very well. I'm sure there could be some other way to get it...but the ONLY other thing I can think of is a toilet seat!!
if the case is below or near the eyes for the age of 2 years and 5 months old only, what is the best treatment for him?thanks
i got molluscum contagiosum during 3rd trimester of pregnancy.i did not have any sexually transmitted diseade.n i am v. careful about personal hygiene also.so only place i could have been catch the infection may be gynae clinic.got them removed with cryotherapy..suffered blemishes and marks.but they resurfaced 6 months later.so all i can say it that there is no permanent cure to this problem.
After three years of being given only three options to cure my child of this awful ailment, burning, freezing and lancing, I finally found a cure that works in just four baths. Salt water in the bathtub, rub the pimples with a generous amount of salt and they dry up and are gone. She had hundreds of them on her elbows and knees. All gone with just four applications!
yes can u get molluscum coutagiosum from doing drugs while being pregnant
I WAS TREATED A MONTH AGO,BY MEANS OF A BLISTER BEETLE CHEMICAL AND WAS VERY PAINFUL. THE PROBLEM HAS LATLEY BEEN SCRAPED AND AM NOW APPLING RET-A TO THE SPOT WITH SOME BETTER RESULTS
My son got these on his face. My doctor recommended iodine. They shrink and dry out the molluscum and disinfect the area to keep them from spreading. Do not scrape or squeeze them, they will spread! The iodine can be applied with a cotton swab 2-3 times daily. This greatly reduces the length of time they remain. The iodine will dry them out and they should burst and be scabby as they heal. I think we have 1-2 weeks left. Good luck!
I took my 11yr old to the Dr today with this horrible ailment and the Dr gave us a great tip to kill the bumps from the inside. Using a cocktail stick that has been soaked in Nail polish remover for about 5 seconds, you gently pierce the lump in the centre where there is a slight concave, and gently move it around and then pull it out. You do not want to be aggressive with the small lance, just pierce it so that the nail polish remover gets inside the lump. this introduces a toxin into the pusdule and it will scab and die. Yipee!! :)
I was diagnosed two weeks ago and I have it near my genital area but mainly on the crease of my leg where it meets my vagina. My doc told me it's not caused by sex although it can be contacted that way but she said it's kind of like how a child breaks out with warts. It just happens and you don't know how.
i was diagnosed of having MC just today .... has been visible to me for few days but i just ignored them ..... today a doctor told me it may take 2-3 months to appear ..... it involves my pubic hair area 8 or 9 lesions .... he also told me that there are cryotherapy and surgical excision but often painful .... his advice was to burst them with a needle till i see small point of bleeding .... doing 4-5 lesions each day ... today i started doing that .... should disappear after one week maximum according to him .... wait and see .... one last thing : **** HAPPENS
My 7-year-old contracted the molluscum virus and we used cold sore cream, following the instructions on the tube. As the cream is an antiviral cream we found that within three weeks of treating spots they seem to have disappeared. We needed about 3 tubes as they are pretty small. Fingers crossed, we've had no spots for over a month now.
The only treatment that really works and fast is one called Conzerol. After months of trying all the garbage offered and the painful alternatives from dermatologists, came across Conzerol. At first I didn't believe all the testimonials they offer, but was so down due to my condition that i decided to try it. IT WORKED! In just two weeks I was back to my normal life. If you have MCV, don't waste your time and money with other products. Find Conzerol and you will thank me for telling you about it.
My seven year old had cryotherapy, ouch. She refused to go back to the dermatologist. Knowing the "blisters" needed to be dried out, I went to the miracle diaper rash cream I used on my babies... Dr. Smith's Diaper cream, made by Mission Pharmaceuticals. AMAZING, 1 to two weeks later almost gone and the itching was gone immediately. The dermatologist treatment for this is barbaric and painful and apple cider vinegar burned on application. Dr. Smith's saved us.
Tee tree oil was my life saver and only thing that worked for me it disinfects so stops spreading therefore new ones will stop appearing it also shrinks existing ones even if you have them frozen then keep using it as they can spread like wildfire after that, getting the core out and disinfecting with tee tree oil and continued use of it 2-3 times a day and washing your hands should sort you out.
When the first child developed this the Dr. said it was not contagious! They bathed together so the other child developed it. Then a cousin developed it and another Dr. said there's nothing to do. Just let it work it's way out. Well, I don't believe they have nothing to use. What about rubbing alcohol, to dry up the lesions?? Tell us to use rubber gloves when putting on the medicines they do have. Something!!! It doesn't spread by air!! It spreads by CONTACT!thank you, grandma
We have had a wonderful result with a product with "Molluscum RX" I tried quite a few products and they helped alittle but not like this one. I had to share as my daughter was covered in them and the dr. wanted us to wait it out. It takes about 4-7 weeks for them to really go away. Worth buying. Hope this helps. :)
My son started with molluscum after contact with his cousin (who had it and we didn't know until it was too late). At first it was mild and then what seemed like overnight, it started to spread and the spots became larger and more painful. I was desperate to find something to help. We were told to let them run their course, but that wasn't going to work for me. I researched and tried several home remedies to no avail.
creams/blistering and scarring, we have found our cure!
My 6 year old son developed molluscum contagiosum in June last year, he had about 3 lesions on the top of his butt, and one on his back. I didn't do any treatment until September, the dermatologist applied a solution to my son every two weeks and within a month they had spread from his butt to the backs of his knees. The doctor told me this was normal for the virus to appear more during treatment (I was very skeptical about this) but carried on treatment anyway, constantly asking why it was getting worse rather than better. After 6 months I decided to take matters into my own hands and bought cortisol, which worked good at first but now his entire butt has come out in a rash. I really don't know whether to stop the treatment or not, I applied a thin layer of the cream all over the area.
I know I can't be the only one who was at their wit's end with this rash/skin virus so I thought I would share what worked for our family. Our nightmare with molluscum contagiosum began with my 6 year old who was exposed to it at school. I didn't think anything of it at first because there were only a few bumps under her arm, but within a few weeks it spread like crazy and my youngest who's only 18 months started showing signs too! I was definitely not going to have the doctor freeze them off or use beetle juice because of all the horror stories I've seen about the pain so for about 2 months I tried (what felt like) everything under the sun! Tea tree oil was too painful, apple cider vinegar seemed like it was starting to work but then just made it worse and aggravated my youngest child's skin, Emuaid was just a waste of money; the list goes on. Anyhow, I looked through a few forums desperate for something and found DermAllay. It was natural, which made me slightly apprehensive about its effectiveness, but the product claims that it doesn't burn or blister, they had a specific product for infants, and when I emailed them they offered to refund my money if it didn't work since I had already tried so many products! I had it sent next day shipping and I honestly couldn't get over how well it's worked! I started seeing a difference the next day on my baby, and it took about a week on my 6 year old! It has been almost 4 weeks since I started using the DermAllay and my 6 year old went from 30 plus bumps to 5 (a few stubborn ones left but almost gone) and my little one has had zero for the last 2 weeks!
A couple of years ago, my two young daughters had molluscum contagiosum for 18 months and it wasn't going away. They each had about 12 to 20 of them at a time. They did not reuse towels or pajamas and I washed laundry with a little bleach to disinfect. They wore pajamas that covered the dots so I didn't wash them every day, but did wash them weekly. They were only allowed showers, no baths. Still no luck. I finally started having success when I controlled when the dots pop, as the insides is what spreads it. I sterilized a thin needle or pin in rubbing alcohol. After their shower, I used cotton balls and alcohol on all the 'dots' and on the opposing skin (so if one was under the arm, I would also wipe the area on the rib cage where the dot would touch if the arm was down). Then starting with the red ones (the ones that may be popping soon), I used the needle to carefully take out the core of the dot, careful to try to not let any of it touch skin. I blotted them, then took a fresh cotton ball with alcohol, wiped the area and then blew on it like crazy to help with the sting. I only did 1 or 2 a night and then waited 3 to 4 days. Just be sure to get them when they start to turn red. Every night I wiped all the dots and opposing skin with alcohol and maybe the freshly popped ones in the morning too. Once they were dot free, they got to take bubble baths again!
I used an internet sales item for molluscum contagiosum and it applied like liquid brown shoe polish and had as much effect as liquid brown shoe polish, plus it stained everything! No effect whatsoever, plus the condition spread. Finally, I saw a good dermatologist who zapped the thing. I was so glad to clear that scourge up! See a good dermatologist immediately, don't mess with the condition!
