Any insight would be helpful.

I am looking for anyone with any (more) information that might be useful to me. I am 23 and I have been dealing with an enormous amount of symptoms; such as nausea, vomiting, severe lower back pain, pain all over my abdomen (concentrated over my ovaries) pain after intercourse, fatigue, mental fogginess, kidney pain just to name the most prevalent, for years. I have 3 different doctors and all of them have given a different diagnoses, all on different issues. I just recently had a laparascopy and a tubal ligation and my OB found 2 ovarian cysts and endometriosis. He didn't give me very much information other than the fact that it could be causing my pain and that my options at this point (and that my insurance will allow) is a birth control pill or the Lupron shot. I have taken BC before with terrible results but I also feel that the shot is a bit drastic considering that he said no matter what I do, I will need a hysterectomy eventually. I'm sure I am not the only who feels like if nothing is going to fix it but a hysterectomy than anything else seems silly/ pointless. I was wondering if anyone else had a list of issues before finding out that they had endo and if you feel like they are all connected? Also I have been told I have kidney stones and SI disorder.

I am not sure how it is there but in Canada I tell them where I want the referral to go and they do it. Are you and your dr close where you can ask her to send you to a place of your choice?

I live in Oklahoma. With the type of insurance I am on they won't let me seek out the most knowledgeable endo dr. on my own, I would have to be referred.

Okay first thing I want to say is a hysterectomy in NO way heals or gets rid of endo. I am in this same boat and predicament. I want a hyster and I know that I have a 50/50 chance of getting relief or the opposite, it being much worse then it was before the hyster.

There is no cure for endo.

I am not sure how it works in the states as surgeries are free in Canada.

You need to find the absolute best specialist that deals with endo and that excises the disease not just with Laser.  Once you have had this surgery, go right on to the BCP and stay on it continuously unless you choose Lupron which I highly do not recommend.

You need the right surgeon with a lot of endo Knowledge to do it right.

Where do you live?

you can inbox me if you have any questions too :)  I am always here to help
