Can endo turn into cancer

I have uterine cancer that has spread to the bowel, but I had a total hysterectomy 7 years ago. I was told that I probably still had endometrosis after the surgery and it has progressed to cancer. Can endo become cancerous?

I was also given estrogen therapy after the hyster would this have made it worse?

My situation is very similar to yours. I had a total hysterectomy 02/06 that revealed trace amount of cancer. I was told that chemo wasn't needed at the time because the uterus was gone. I was on bio-identical hormones of estrogen and progesteren (sp). The following year 10/07 I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer with a bowel obstruction. I received emergency surgery and a colonostomy. I am happy to be alive. I have gone through chemo. The side effects of chemo on the colon was tremendous. The next surgery is to reverse the colonostomy. I just wanted to say you're not alone and a speedy recovery to you.
