Endo chronic stabbing pain like appendix?

Hi,I have a question about endo pain. Has anyone suffered from endo pain BETWEEN PERIODS that was similar to apendicitis - stabbing on the right side off belly button and down? Thanks a lot! (They suspect I suffer from endo, going for diag.surgery in September but the stabbing pain scares me a lot, I had been to ER many times with suspicion for appendix and they never found anything - even though the pain is really stabbing on the right side) I'm desperate and literally cannot wait to getting know what's going on in there. I will be grateful for any comments and replies. Thanks!

Hi Dee

I actually started feeling that discomfort this month and I made sure to let my Gyne know about it. Some of you guys mentioned that the pain starts at the right ovary and work its way up the right side of my hip or lower back or something but the discomfort bothered me so much I literaly had to take motrin 400mg everyday lol no kidding i think i did that for a week. Then i got freaked out when my Gyne said i might need to do my Lap sooner than expected so i guess now even if it bothers me my mind is somewhat used to it already. What helps me is my heating pad specially when it aches on the right hip area.

Well when I read your message I instantly thought wow that was me! Raed further everything you experienced I did too. Saw all the other drs regarding different matters bowel bladder actually they all thought I was dillusional. Or making things up went to A&E twice both times sent me home with a ibuprofen strong up my arse sorry bout the way I explain helped abit awkward but pain came back eventually 3rd time I ended up in A&E collapsed while seeing triage nurse they admitted me in straight away, called a surgeon who said they will try operate that hour if enough staff otherwise monitor me and operate following day which is what happened they figured it might be my appendix but were adament it wasnt. When operated on surgeon came back told me it was awful my appendix was thickened with adhesions or blood all over it which was causing the immense pain and the removed my small bowel as that too was severly covered in adhesions or endometrosis. Hence why I was In theatre for 3 hours I think.its been over a year for this surgery which they wereent prepared for.

They left my large bowel which is stuck to my uterus as they needed my permission as I dont have any children they didnt want to do surgery as there was a risk or permanently damaging my uterus. This is still pending im hoping it becomes better they said my only optoin for it to dissapear is to get pregnant which is so difficult as I have ovairon failure since maybe 12 yers old.

Dont take everyones experience as what you might have is the same thing...but do make sure you get seen to. Which you are so far to keep the inflammation and bloating away I have ibuprofen and have stopped red meat as it contains hormones in red meat which aggravate endo or bloatedness so o . Look into your diet as well. Wish you well no matter what. Good luck be good to know how you get on.

Hi! I am in the same boat as you. During my last period (while always heavy) I started getting "stabbing" pains around my lower right ovary. It eventually worked its way up to the right side of my belly button where it felt more like a bad cramp. The pain got so bad last Friday I went to the ER. Like you, all my tests came back great. They basically said I am a healthy 26 year old and laughed in my face. I know something is wrong...I know my body. So I saw my gynecologist the other day and I have an ultrasound set up next week to see what could be causing the pain. They said it could be endometriosis. I don't have any information to help you....I just want you to know your not alone. I hope your appointments go well and you get some answers

Hey,

I'm 18 and have been suffering from to pain exactly since I was 14. So I decided to pay privately, I had my appointment today. And the endro specialist who I saw, is going to do a laporoscopy in a few weeks, as he is 100% sure I had endromitriosis, (my mother had it to).

But before this, I actually got referred to surgical unit, as my go thought I had appendicitis. But it was confirmed I didn't, so I suspect it was just the pain I usually get however more servere. My stomach gets extremely bloated, I've actually been asked if I'm pregnant, which has been embarrassing. I had ultrasounds, which showed nothing, but as I got told in my private appointment, endromitriosis don't show up on scans, and you need a laporoscopy to confirm you have the disease.

Hope this helped. I

Hey Dee,
I have yet to be diagnosed as well,  however my pain is pretty much identical to you. Severe stabbing pain around the right ovary a week after my period that only gets worse with full bladder. I also get abdominal bloating and extreme tenderness when touching the area. The first month I had it I was running around freaking out that I had appendicitis due to my huge amount of pain and discomfort.  I've had two ultrasounds that revealed nothing. My doctor has suggested my pain could be caused by endometriosis.

NOT YET.
I am going to undergo laparoscopy because they didn't see anything on the USG (have undergone it at least ten times in past 4 months), blood tests were ok, so I consulted a gynecologist that specializes in endoscopy and he is going to carry out the surgery too see inside in September.
He said it might be endometriosis or adhesions. So I just want to know if anyone suffers from similar pain.

As for other specialists, I was examined by bladder specialist (he found nothing).
I also had an appointment with gastro specialist and in the following two months I should undergo gastroscopy and also colonoscopy. But I dont have problems with my digestion.

Welcome to the Endometriosis Forum. I am not a doctor just an advocate trying to help others and lead them in the right direction. That being said I needed to ask you a question first.

Have you ever been diagnosed with Endometriosis laparoscopically? Or has it been said that you might have it? That would help me out greatly.
