Endo and its costs?

Hi there,
I am 19 y/o and recently was told that endometriosis was probably to blame for my severe cramping and other symptoms during my period. I was put on an oral birth control for a month by my family practitioner but was recently taken off because of its affects on my migraines. My obgyn put me on the nuvaring and im still waiting for relief. My question is...if i choose to have the lap surgery to diagnose and eliminate my endo, how much should i expect to pay? I have great health insurance but I just needed to hear what other people have had to pay even with insurance coverage. I am looking at the pros and cons of both treatments and honestly have to pay $25/month for my nuva ring for who knows how many years isnt trumping surgery right now. So any past experience or knowledge would help!

i know that birth control helps, maybe you should try diffrent one.....i remeber i took a few different ones....yazmin was awfull...bad migranes.....i took it only for 4 months...................Laparoscopy helped me, i don't know for how long will, but my endo got so bad that i could not walk, and my appendix got taken out............surgery is quick, you go home the same day...i did it 2 laparoscopy in one year( the first surgeon did lousy job).......if your pains are very bad, go for it, it's worth it............endo can be terrible...........

I have  a friend who is on the Nuva ring and she says that is causes her more harm than good. Get off of it ASAP.  I can tell you that your surgery could cost anywhere from $2,000-10,00, but it is worth it as it will give you some relief.  Will the relief be permanent? No, because there is no cure for endo yet.  It will help for awhile though.
