Endometriosis pain

I have been dealing this for quite awhile now I've tried different birth controls, had many scrapings done, I'm now on lupron injections. I've had 2 so far but now my pain has gotten worse and I'm bleeding a lot. I've asked about a hysterectomy but i'm just not sure how i'm going to react to it. I'm 28 yrs old and done w/having kids. My tubes are tied too. Does a hysterectomy cause bone issues? Will i have to take hormone supplements? I already have arthritis in my back along with spinal stenosis and other things. So i can't afford bone loss. If i do get a hysterectomy will all my pain and bleeding stop for good. I also have polysystic ovaries so would i need a full hysterectomy? I've also heard about a procedure where the Dr can do something to the lining of your uterus, what is that and will it help any of my problems?

I know this disease has totally taken my quality of life. I think for the most part is because it took so long to diagnose and I had so much damage done that it can't be reversed.

I am here anytime if you have any questions just message me :)

Good luck tomorrow :)

When you had your surgery what was the method of Endometriosis removal? Excision or laser? Also once you had your surgery were you put on meds right away? Was the surgeon a gyno or an Endometriosis specialist?

I want to make sure you understand that a hysterectomy will not stop the Endometriosis from growing. I can't emphasis that enough.

I totally understand your frustrations I really do. It took 17 yrs for me to be diagnosed and I have suffered severe bowel, ureter and bladder damage that can't be reversed.

If either of you are interested you could read my journals in my profile of my journey with Endometriosis or send me a message. I am here to support you guys and I totally understand what you are both going through

I'm having similar problems, tried every birth control and im tired of it and surgery did nothing. I'm at the point where i just want the pain to go away, and i want my sex life back because it has destroyed that too. I was looking into a hysterectomy, but I'm only twenty and i would like to have kids in the future, i have none now. Also, i heard it puts you into menopause, and im not sure i want that. I don't know if it'll fix my life or make it worse by getting one. But i also don't know what else to do anymore... I'm tired of living with this...

I am going to be blunt. Do not get a hysterectomy. If you already have bone issues at your age it will only get worse plus a possibility of early onset of dementia.

Who did your Endo surgery? Was it a regular gyno? You need to find an Endo specialist because its a possibility that they didn't remove all the Endo.

Lupron will not I repeat not suppress the Endo there is so little understanding of this disease that a lot of gynos don't understand.

The only thing these meds do is to stop periods stop the pain.
