Could this be endo?

I will start by saying that I am seeing my OBGYN tomorrow.  I am 36 yrs old and recently been having severe pain in my low back, also front cramping like a bad period and break through bleeding.  My face has been a hormonal mess.  I have taken BC for many years and think I might possibly need a different pill now.  My question is could it be somthing more?  I am concerned because of the pain that I am having.  Not sure what to expect in the morning, but hopefully some good news.  Any Ideas?  The pain has been consistant for several months now.

I also had a cist on my left overy . they are commen with endometriosis as well. fibroids too. you can not see endo on a ultrasound but if you do have a cist and it is giving you enough pain to get it removed. make sure you talk to your surgen to keep a look out for endo as well .
although i think he would be good enough to see it . if he is not looking hard for it they can be very small, but also cause you lots of pain. not something you want to have missed if it was to be there.    good luck and feel free to talk about your progress anytime.  (;

Thank you for your response.  My OBGYN checked me out today and believes it could be a cyst.  She ordered a ultrasound for Tues and a follow up 4 weeks from now.  I hope its nothing.  She also suggested we change my BC as my hormones just might be changing with age.  So many questions, so little answers:)

It sounds like it could be endo. there is also no sure way of knowing without getting a surgery called a laparoscopy done . they go in through your belly button with a camra and see if endo is there. if it is they will remove the endo.    I had this done after four months of severe pain . could not take it anymore and went to hospital. there they did a ultrasound ,blood tests pap test and nothing was coming up. so we did the surgery and sure enough there was the endo.    without doing the surgery your doctor would have to diagnose it from your symptoms. although the surgery may take away the pain and remove the thing that is causing the pain, in the end it usally grows back and you would maybe need more surgerys. talk to your doctor about your options.   hope you feel better soon and find out what this is.
