Lap incisions

I had a laparoscopy at the end of January and my doctor has told me that all of the incisions look like they are healing great.  However the incision on my left side is still pretty sore and looks kind of raw.  I put a band aid on it over the weekend and it appears to be leaking or something because when I removed the band aid there was stuff on it.  I am not sure if this is normal or not.  Has anyone had this happen?

Is it yellow?  I wouldn't put a band aide on it because its creating moisture

One of my incisions hurt for months after.

Take the band aide off and wait a couple of days to see if it has dried up.  Maybe put rubbing alcohol on it then some polysporine (Sp?)

I will give that a shot tonight.  Thanks for all the help!

The u/s I get in April is a TVUS but they also have to fill my uterus with saline solution.  I had a TVUS last week and they found 2 cysts on my left ovary, something (either scar tissue or endometrioma) on my right ovary, my uterine lining was thicker than it should be and there is a lump or something on my uterine wall.  The TVUS I get in April will hopefully help them figure out what is on the wall.  They are thinking either a polyp or a blood pool.  If it's a polyp then I will have to get it removed.  I hate this waiting game but apparently the 1st was the soonest they could get me in!  My husband said it's sad that I am only 27 and used to the TVUS already!  lol  I have had quite a few of them since my daughter was born last May, things just keep going wrong with me.

I would put the neosporin on but not the band aide.  Then air it out at night.

I hear you about the US I am sick of them especially the TVUS lol

Nothing that I can get away with at work.  I have to wear jeans or dress pants to work and I work monday - friday. I am not sure what else I can try.

I have not tried any topical medicine.  I was going to try neosporin and a bandage but I don't want to make it worse.  I have an ultrasound coming up on April 1st so if it's not better by then I can talk to the doctor.  I am super nervous about the u/s too.  It seems like they keep finding things wrong with me.  I am starting to think that I am lucky to have the 2 kids I have!  lol

Do you have any jogging pants that are low rise?

Have you tried polysporin?

I did take off the band aid and it was yellow.  All my pants and stuff rub on the scar so I don't know what to do with it.  It took me a couple weeks before I was able to wear jeans.  I was wearing maternity jeans for a while!  =)  It's just weird to me that almost 2 months after the procedure I am having issues yet.

Ya maybe stay away from the jeans and nothing touching the incision at all.  It was probably the jeans rubbing up against it that was causing that problem.  Good for you to have worn a pair of jeans that quick lol.. It took me forever because I was so bloated :)

It was kind of a redish yellow I guess.  It was hard to tell because it was old when it was on there.  I mainly had the band aid on because it rubs on my jeans and hurts more.  I will keep it off for a couple days and check on it again.
