PCOS/ Endo / Mirena

My history:
1. Mental health issues
2. Genetic markers for coeliac disease

I was recently told that I have PCOS (my sister has this and she also had/has endo). I suffer from horrible period pain to the point that I shake, get light headed/ faint and dry reach. I had the Mirena IUD inserted today as recommended by my specialist gyno. It was the most horrendous experience of my life. It was in for about 10 minutes before I gave into the terrible pain from the cramps and asked for it to be removed. I had the shakes, was light headed / fainty, couldn't hold my body weight, dry reaching and hot flushes. Almost instantly I needed to go do a number 2 and I think this added pressure contributed to the pain. I had it inserted by my specialist gyno in the chair with no anaesthetic. All that was offered to me for the pain afterward was one panadol. I am 25 and have never been pregnant and have a tilted uterus.  My specialist said that everyone has different pain thresholds and have different reactions. I was completely out of my mind with pain. Is it possible it was inserted incorrectly or should I have been put under? I am finding it hard to believe that my pain threshold is solely to blame. My doctor said that I can't go on the pill as what ever is in them helps the growth of cysts or follicles on my ovaries? I am just so confused about everything. A lot of what I read contradicts what my doctor has told me. She didn't think it was nessessary to check for Endo but I want to as it runs in the family (she knows that). My specialist wants me to come back in a few weeks to discuss other options as the Mirena is now a no go. I feel like I'm going around in circles with no solutions whatsoever and I honestly am at my whits end. Should I get a second opinion elsewhere? Has anyone had the Mirena inserted by one doctor and it was awful but fine with another? I have been taking so much time off work to have this sorted and I'm getting no where. I am frustrated, tired, sore and feeling so alone. Any advice or information would be amazing.
