what does a trans vaginal detect???

I had a trans vagianl scan around 4 wks ago now...they picked up that I had a right swollen tube...I have been ttc but have not caught.....what I would like to know is can a trans vaginal scan pick up if you have emdometriosis or is it a laposcropy????
Would the doctor detected when he did the scan if I had this????
I am ovulating and releasing eggs so I just dont whats wrong.
How would I find out if my eggs are fertile too?????
Sorry but so many questions to ask but I will just have to wait till I get tot he Gyno on the 24th nov 2010....

Well, endo can only be detected by have a laparoscopy done. I wish it was easier to detect it!! So no, he couldn't detect it by any scan or ultrasound.
There can be a a few different things to cause a tube to swell. It's good that you know you are ovulating and releaing eggs - if you really want, you can get a test done to see the quality of your eggs. Usually you will need to see an RE for it. Basically a fertilty doctor. I hope everything works out for you!

Thank you and you are very welcome! Like I said before, if you want the test for egg quality, you will need to see an RE (Reproductive Endocrinologist). I believe it has to be a completely medication free cycle in order to do it. When will you have your lap done? I've had 4 so if you have any Q's about them feel free to ask.

I do love this site - I've been on here since April of '08. Mainly here (not much though) and in the fertility community. Again, good luck!

Hi there...well thank you for quick response.  I appreciate that info.  Its good like you say that I am ovulating and releasing eggs but are they any good....I do want to find out so after I have had my laparoscopy I will be investigating that further....Its nice to be able to chat with people and share their knowledge..I would recommend this site to all...dont do face book and those things as I do not have the time.....but this ite well its s different matter....thanks again and I will be doing what you have suggested...love and light nad many blessing sent in this message to you...god bless and may the nagels watch over you always..pinksss
