lap.surgery 3 weeks on is this normal

Hi all,
After having my surgery 3 weeks ago still not able to lift but I'm most concerned about waking up very hot throughout the night several times. I've never experienced this before and this is my 3rd lap. Has.anyone else experienced this? Is this normal? And when will it stop? Also I am.very emotional lately was just driving yesterday and burst into tears which is very unusual for me. My next checkup isn't until the 3 months mark after surgery. I'm not on any meds ATM. Has anyone had similar symptoms? Does it need to be treated by doc?

Perfect. I also will give you my link to social media. I have a lot of Australian Endosisters as well. I can't post the link here but I will message you as its against the rules for me to do it here.

Thank you so much for your advice. I was told I'd have to wait 3 months as my specialist is having an extended Christmas break and not back until feb. Thanks for the tip about the reports I should have done that with my last surgeries too as they were done in a different state. Please I would love the link for endo specialist online. I feel your pain of being undiagnosed for a long time and many doctors don't understand endo and send you away. I was lucky to be diagnosed at 23yrs however period pain was bad from a young age. Can I request a copy of my report from the hospital without having to see my specialist? If it helps im in Australia ATM and don't know how the medical laws work here. I have a very good gp who understands endo.

Wow 3 months seems like a long time. Usually its 6 weeks. When you go make sure you ask for a copy of the report. Sometimes they fail to mention certain details that are very important later on if you were to need surgery again. I have had 3 and I demanded answers. I wasn't leaving the hospital until I got them but that is just because I suffered for 14 yrs undiagnosed and I wanted them to tell me it wasn't in my head and after that one I just did loads of research so I knew what to ask. Eventhough the second surgery I had they didn't tell me everything I made sure I got the report and I asked some questions to some top Endo specialists online which were/are a God Sent. I can direct you to that site if you are in need of someone helping you understand the report. I can understand a lot of them as I enjoy reading them LOL. Sad I know but I had no choice but to advocate for myself to get answers.

Let me know how it goes :)

Thanks so much for your advice that's what I was hoping that it will settle with time.. My first check up after my surgery is at 3 months and I haven't seen the surgeon since before the surgery. The nurses in recovery would not tell me the extent of the surgery. So I'm not sure if they took an ovary or not.

Sometimes when you have surgery and your ovaries are worked on it can put them to sleep for a bit which could cause menopausal symptoms, it sometimes takes months for the ovaries to start regulating the way they are supposed to. Did they remove an ovary?
