Around and around and back again

I had surgery in July for stage 4 endo.  I opted only to take fish oil because birth control did some weird things to my body.  I was in it when I was in my late teens and even into my early 20s.  It literally made it so I couldn't cry.  I had a laportomy.  I never really healed from it.  I still cry if someone touches my stomach, and I can't have any pants touching my incision.  I also have trouble using the bathroom.  I did go to the doctor and she said I had a UTI.  When I took the antibiotics it actually made it even harder to pee  I still get tired really quickly an can't stand for too long because the entire lower part of my stomach fees like it's on fire.
My last period was very dark in color, and I had the worst cramps for 2 weeks.  My periods since my surgery have been lasting on average a matter of hours.  My back has started hurting on the right side, which is where she removed the large ruptured cyst.
It's like the endo came back and my body never fully healed from the surgery.  I am trying to decide what to do.  I just want to fee normal, but that is too hard to do.  Does anyone know what i should do about this?

You see this is how it was to begin with. All the same pain. I have a feeling it's back. I have no problem using my bowels, just urinating.
The incision is what hurts ONLY when I pee.   I am one of the best wind passers I know. I am sure I don't have a hernia.
I think a lot of my problem is that I barely scrape 100 lbs. My case of endo is so bad that I'm known around my clinic for just that.

I think it could be possible that her endo grew back right away when she got her first period after surgery. She may also have another cyst. Stage 4 endo doesn't exactly go away after 1 surgery.

I can vouch for her doctor because I am seeing the same one (we're sisters). I've seen really sh*tty doctors and this lady actually knows what she is doing. She's an endo specialist. She may not be the exactly the doctor that we want, but she's better than anyone else I've seen around here.

hey there. I think I answer to you in another post...but I think you might not be seeing a proper doctor....maybe seek a second opinion as to why you haven't healed....it does sound like there is something going on, that maybe your doctor wasn't able to fix during the surgery in July. I strongly recomend you seeing some other doctor and don't let more time pass by, like Skimbo said, it could be that it was a simple fix, but a simple fix can turn into something more serious if not taken care properly.

You could have an obstruction, maybe the endo wasn't "cleaned", maybe a hernia or who knows what is going on....I am truly sorry this surgery hasn't helped feel better, for me, it was a good experience and worth it.

Take care and seek help ASAP.

Please Please Please go back to ur doctor. not being able to pee and use ur bowels properly is such a major issue. I just had my surgery two weeks ago and my body had actually healed from the surgery but using the bathroom was so difficult and I was in so much pain still. Couldn't stand, sit, lay down. I, too, thought I wasn't healing correctly. Was so uncomfortable and it ended up being something very simple and very simple to fix.

If u have been this way since July then this is FAR too long to have that sort of unattended problem. I also take fish oil, vitamin e and a few other things. i am on the pill but will be getting off that soon enough. My problem ended up being the build up of gas high in my intestines from the surgery and because it is painful to use the bathroom I had a build up in there too.

I couldn't believe it was so simple cos I felt like I had a hernia and it makes everything on fire cos it is putting so much pressure everywhere. My doc prescribed me a small dosage of lactulose. Like the bowel prep before surgery. And it enabled me to pass wind, now finally clearing the blockage, the sharp pains I had when using the bathroom are finally subsiding and I can move normally again. And it was that simple. i laughed at the doc when she said this cos I was ready to march to hospital.

So maybe ask about this. And she said to me on Fri if this didn't help by the end of the weekend I needed to go back to hospital cos they might have perforated bowel/bladder walls or something silly like that. So don't give up hope. Go back to ur doc again and get a few options and if she has nothing then time for a trip to the hospital cos ur body is more important and a laproscopy shouldn't be doing this to ur body. Good luck :)
