can endo really be this sensitve to birth control?

Hello everyone, I'm a 24 yr old female who has endometriosis and it's getting worse! Just over the holidays I've had 2 major flares, one that lasted from xmas eve to boxing day and the other I'm still suffering from right now. When i get my flares im in soo much pain, I get soo nauseated and sick to my stomach (i haven't thrown up from these more frequent attacks but i have thrown up in the past from endo pain) so i'm usually up all night on the bathroom floor and by the time moring comes I feel like I've been hit by a truck :*( everything is just sooo senstive to the touch. Needless to say I think it's from my birth control :S i'm horrible at taking it exactly on time and sometimes I do miss a day and i find it's when i screw up that is when i get my flares, is this possible tho? like is it really possible my body is that sensitive to the pill that i absolutely need to take it at the exact same time each day or all hell will break loose? Should i try asking my doctor about IUD's?

I am not taking any bc and I experiance the same pain, you might want to aks your GYN about Lupron or like others have said, a stronger pill.  I am trying to get pregnant so I just have to suffer through these episodes (last week was the first time I vomited from the pain), it can be so frusterating. Also try an electric heating pad, I don't know what i'd do without it!  Best of luck to you.

I just found out last week that I have endo during a cystectomy, and my doctor told me that many women with endometriosis can be very sensitive to birth control with estrogen in it.  I personally spent years bouncing from pill to pill and suffering with mood swings, depression, and nausea.  She said that progesterone-only pills may have fewer symptoms.

It might be that you need to switch birth control pills.

I am on Marvelon21 since my surgery and I have had no problems and its a low dose birth control pill.  Everyone is different so you just need to find the one that is right for you.

The pill is supposed to stop ovulation but I have always wondered if I ovulate because I times I feel those pains that I got before but not at all the same degree of pain.
