Yes. Between diagnosis and treatment (lap surgery) and possibly meds you can. My ovary is wrapped behind my uterus and stuck to it thanks to endo. HSG test said my tubes were clear though. So they determined I have unexplained infertility. Little bit of clomid, little bit of IUI, little bit of a trigger shot = one beautiful son.

Good luck. Don't let news get you down. It's not a definitive killer for having a child.

I had my lap over 2 years ago. What I can remember that hurt the most was the shoulder pain...they fill your belly with gasses to make it bloat so they can get in there. Some of the air can stay trapped for a few days. It was hard to sit up but it went away after a few days. I took a few days off of work and was a little sore but honestly wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I was really nervous!

I may have Endometriosis... my mother had it along with two of my aunts even though its not meant to be hereditary! Doctor done blood tests last week to rule out the chances of my infertility being down to not ovulated.. but the results came back positive so she is thinking Endo is my problem! I have sometimes painful intercourse as well as unbelievably sore periods, back pain, trouble with my bowels etc.  Hoping I dont have a severe case cause I dont want to be infertile because of the horrible owl thing.  Going to next doc app to schedule a laparoscopy and totally dreddin it... is it sore???

I have stage 2 endo.  It took me a year to get pregnant after I had the laparoscopy to remove the endo. I did the Lupron injections to put me in "menopause" and it took me a little while to get my cycles to be normal to try and get pregnant.  I needed fertility help, and did injections and IUI.  My 4th IUI I got pregnant. Some women have it their whole lives and never even know they have it and get pregnant no problem. Some women have it and have a more difficult time and sometimes can't get pregnant without the assistance of fertility drugs/specialists.

Best of luck!

Yes you can but everyone is different. I was diagnosed with Stage IV endo 4yrs after the birth of my daughter and they couldn't understand how I had conceived a baby with how bad the endo was.

How do you know you are at risk, has the doctor told you, does someone in your family have it?
