Stage 4 can come back that quickly. My sister, teddybears4ever experienced something similar after her surgery. She was told that the only way to keep it off was to have surgery every month, but since that's not a viable option, there isnt a whole lot that can be done. Personally, I wouldn't go on BC. It doesn't actually stop endo from returning. In some cases it can delay the return, but a lot of BCs have been pulled off the market for causing cysts, etc. I have such negative side affects from BC that i just wont take it.
Thanks for your comment, it was really helpful. I am going to ask my gynae dr for an ultrasound. Hoping for the best though, i only had them removed a month ago, surely they can't come back that soon?! I am confused about why the pain feels like last time if it's not though...really hope it's not i can't face more surgery. does anyone know if the pill would get rid of endometrioma cysts if i did have them or just stop them getting worse? Last time i got them they were massive and i wouldn't like them to get to that stage again.
Hi Lucy. I am sorry but it could be...there is really no way to stop endometriosis, and endometriomas are just one thing that endometriosis can do to our bodies. the pill is recomended to help stop the endo, but it still can grow......what doctors try to do to help us with endo is to stop us from ovulating and by stopping ovulation it decreases the endometrium's growths. not Ovulating also affect the endometriosis growths, making them shrink and bleed less.
you can ask your doctor for an u/s to be sure you don't have any endometriomas and start treatment as soos as yo can.
