Hi,
Although pain is the predominant feature of endometriosis, heavy periods and excessive blood loss during menses and infertility can be the other presentation. Stage 2 or 3 endometriosis will require aggressive treatment. Consult your gynaecologist.
Hope this helps.
Hi there,
I was diagnosed with stage 2/3 endo early this year. I did not have heavy or painful periods but I had excruciating pain during sex for about 18 months before my diagnosis. It took ages for anyone to diagnose me because I didn't have the 'regular' symptoms of endo such as painful and heavy periods. All my scans and ultrasounds showed up as normal and the only way to see if I did have endo was by having laparoscopy surgery. Turned out I had very severe endo. I would try and find an endo specialist as they look 'outside the box'.
hope this helps
I was diagnosed two years ago with stage 4 endometriosis and I had no symptoms at all. I was only 19 at the time and I still have very few symptoms aside from pain during sex. I guess it just depends on where its concentrated and how severe it is.
