endometriosis help

I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2010 after a lap. They found it pretty much all over my uterus and bladder in which they had attached to each other. They fixed it and had a Mirena inserted which helped dramatically. Had the Mirena removed to have a baby which took a while but I'm now 8 months post baby and boy is the endo back with a vengeance! I'm booked in for another lap at the end of February. My problem is I'm in a huge amount of pain all the time and I'm in tears when I pee. I've tried panadene forte and a strong anti inflammatory.it doesn't even touch the edges! My doctor for some reason won't prescribe me anything stronger till I get in for surgery. I don't really want to change doctors but how the hell do I get her to help me????

Thanks for the reply! I seen my GP and she actually helped me for once! Gave me endone & considering I'm having a tonne of pain emptying my bladder she's going to try and push my surgery along. Seriously couldn't believe it. I walked out in tears of relief!
I'm in south australia,  not sure if this forum is Australian?

I would recommend finding a new GP if she is not helping you out and turning you away. This is very common for patients with Endo and it shouldn't have to be that way but it is. Once that happens you should really look into seeing an endo specialist not a gyno. If you GP would send you to a Endo specialist I can give you some names of doctors if you let me know where abouts you are, maybe that will help move this along for you.

First I need to ask. Is your current doctor an Endo specialist? If not it is very possible that Endo was left behind  and has continued to grow. It is also possible that you have interstitial cystitis or scar tissue is causing a blockage.

I would recommend a new doctor but that is just my opinion. Any doctor that did not understand the pain I was feeling and would make me suffer is not someone I want to deal with.
