Hate endo and period!!

I really hate endo right now. I am due for my period tomorrow and I am cramping so bad. The worse pain is in my back and left ovary area. I can't take anything due to allergies to pain meds and intolerance to oral meds and warm pack is not working today. I see my endo specialist in June. I got my results of ultrasound and no cyst so now I can make appointment to see endo specialist which I made the appointment yesterday. My gyno thinks its adhesions or endo or both in a mild to medium flare up. I called my endo this morning so if cancellation occurs then they will get me in sooner. I have a choice to do surgery again or try other meds. Right now surgery is not the option due to work and school. I am willing to try meds either Lupron(I know that this is not the best choice, but works for me) or Mirena or some other birth control shot. Due to absorption problem oral birth control does not work for me and causes bad reactions. If worse comes to worse I will opt out and do surgery. I had three excision surgeries already. Sorry I just venting right now and I don't know what to do now. Just confused.

I wish I could take something natrual like cayenne pills but dut to absorption problem I can not take anything oral including vitamins. This really stinks. I used to be able to take anything but now I can't due to stomach issue that we are still trying to get it under control and so far its been almost a year that it is under control and they don't want me to mess it up. I have to wait another year before I can try taking oral meds or vitamins. Once I am 2 years symptoms free with my stomach then I can introduce meds or vitamins. Right now it warm compress and hot showers until surgery time. I didn't get my period in the beginning of this this month and I am due for it next week in June so let see if that happens. I am schedule for surgery in July.

Shelly, have you ever tried cool cayenne to help with your pain? I have such severe pain that narcotics barely touch it, but after popping a couple of cool cayenne pills (most of the time) the pain is greatly relieved. The cayenne works on reducing inflammation and, for me, works better than almost all other meds. You might want to research this pain relieving alternative. I sincerely hope you are able to get your pain under control since it is greatly impacting your quality of life. It was only after years of "enduring," that I finally realized periods are not meant to be painful (how quickly we forget this after we've lived with it for so long) and just riding the pain doesn't make me more of a woman (ha, ha) or a whiner. Good luck to you.

Thanks,I went and use the hot water method and worked alittle until I had to go to work. I supposed to get my period this morning but nothing. This is a telltale sign that endo is back for me. Its the opposite that everyone goes through. When my period don't start then we know that endo is back. I am still uncomfortable right now in my lower back area. If I don't get my period by Monday I supposed to call my endo specialist and let him know about it and he can get me in sooner. They can't give me meds to induce my period due to absorption problem and clotting factor. I had a bad reaction last time I use the medicine to induce my period. Most likely surgery and d/c might be not able to wait. Let you know more next week.   ~shelly~

Hi Shelly, I'm SO sorry you're going through so much pain. I'm in the process of going to the dr. to see exactly what's wrong with myself.  My pain is very severe and although i'm able to take medicine for it..sometimes that don't even work.  Even pain pills don't even help.  Yes they knock me out but as i'm laying there dozing off I still feel the pain.  I'd never tell anyone what to do but I have realized a time or two..and no it don't always work for me but it has is just filling the bathtub with hot water..as hot as you can stand it and just sitting and trying to let your body relax.  Being in that hot water even after I took a pain pill like hydrocodone(even that wasn't working) that hot water helped my muscles relax enough that the pain medicine could work. Maybe..and hopefully if you tried that it might give you some relief.  I really hope so.  Take Care.
                                                                                Sincerely,
                                                                                    Desarae
