Is it normal to see weird shapes like swiming in your eyes vision?

I'm wondering what are these things we see moving in our eyes (vision) from time to time that are the shape of DNA or threads, or something like that.

Is this normal?

P.S. Not while looking at own eyes, but through own eyes.
