Bowel issues

I am constipated all week and then I "explode" it is loose and painful but not runny or watery and there is no blood in my stools. I have increased my fiber to at least 25g a day and have switched from soda to water, water, water. I had to have the doctor prescribe pain killers for my stomach during these explosions. It usually last about a day and then right back to constipation (can't go at all or very little) during the week. I am always tired and nausea is present whenever I have the bowel movement. I have had a  complete hysterectomy in March and hemoraged in April...my symptoms had improved after the surgery in March but returned after the problems in April....
Can anyone help me???

I was also prescribed bentyl and found that its the only med that seems to help. I don't like taking pills either, but when they work I take them. I'm also on the estradiol except my meds are called esctrace..I really hope you feel better.

I have been prescribed bentyl but have not taken any...I don't like pills. I do take D-3 supplements (just started those today) and Estradiol for the hysterecotomy. I have had these symtoms for 4 years...and when I do go I am so sick as if I have the flu (nausea, headache, stomach cramps, etc.
