Less food to get full, post-meal bloating, some vomiting

Over the last few months it's gradually been taking less food to get full...finally a few days ago I ate a normal-sized lunch at 1PM, then a healthy-sized dinner about 8:30PM. Felt very full, bloated, uncomfortable, and more puzzled as the hours passed. Slightly constipated but able to go that night nevertheless. Finally vomited big time about 1AM. Somewhat concerned, I ate a slightly smaller lunch the next day and then a normal dinner about 9PM, felt full but digested normally. Then today had breakfast for once (8:30AM), then lunch (3:45)...full but not uncomfortable, then coughed hard about a half-hour later and threw up a bit (not much). How concerned should I be? I'd rather not waste the $ on an endoscopy if there are much more likely explanations than cancer. I'm 30, slim build, have had a beer gut for the last 3 years or so, smoked 10 years, and get heartburn after some foods and drinking soda (I drink a lot of soda and have for some time). I've always had a very fast metabolism and appetite though obviously I'm at an age where these will be slowing down (I was shocked when I realized I'd developed a gut). I know I should get a checkup and/or exam but how long should I wait before other explanations are ruled out? Thanks in advance

Exclude all sugary food for 3 days, and see, if bloating will go away.

Skipping meals worsen constipation. When the food comes into the stomach, it trigers gastro-colonic reflex - your colon peristalsis starts, and you can expell the stool. So try to have breakfast, hungry or not.

Thanks -- no burping really, some typical flatulence but not much. It definitely takes much longer to digest food, and to become hungry again. It's 11:30AM now, not hungry at all and last meal was 4PM yesterday with some candy/soda at a movie last night. I should definitely be hungry by now....

Any hearburn, burping? If yes, go and have a breath test for H. pylori bacteria. There are things before cancer...

If you want to experiment...have this 3 days trial:

1st trial: no dairy products, or anything containing lactose (read labels): milk, yogurt, cheese, ice-cream, butter, BEER, there is a lactose in beer...

If this helps, you have lactose intolerance. The only "treatment" is lactose-free diet.

2nd trial: no beer and  no sugar (including sweets, fruits, fruit juices, soda, milk, starch:potatoes, pasta) for 3-4 days. When intestinal bacteria eat simple sugars glucose - from sweets, fructose - from fruits, lactose - from milk, and maltose from beer, they break them down and produce gas.So, if after this trial, your symptoms will improve, it's possible, you have intestinal bacteria overgrowth. This is tested with a breath test and treated with antibiotics.
