Rectal bleeding should always prompt you to seek medical advice. For possible causes type in rectal bleeding to google and click on to one of the many sites. The Medicinenet site is particularly informative. Then you will be better informed for your medical consultation. Unless the doctor is absolutely sure that the source of the bleeding is from one of the minor causes (e.g. haemorrhoids, anal fissure etc etc) I suggest that you might like to request a colonoscopy.

Ditto what Morecambe said, you MUST see a doc. Also, quit drinking that tea. Eat high fiber foods, drink more water, and exercise to burn off fat and keep your digestion straight. If you still see blood after quitting the tea, and if a colonoscopy is scheduled for a long time off, ask the doc for a CT scan of your abdomen, to make sure you don't have a growth, they can set those up quicker.
