Acid reflux or Gallbladder?

I suffer from acid reflux, gerd, constipation and I hiatal hernia. I also can't drink milk or have heavy dairy without getting very gassy and constipated.   It has gotten worse as I have gotten older.  I am 40 and I heard from two people who said they had all the same symptoms as me and were told they had acid reflux but it turns out there gallbladder was bad.  How can I make sure mine is okay.  They both said after surgery they felt great.

I go to a gastroenterologist.  How do I get the food allergies tested?  I had 3 upper GI.  But both my cousin and friend told me they had been checked and were told it was acid reflux and lactose intolerence when it was there gallbladder.  Thanks for helping.

I have a hiatal hernia, at times it will cause acid reflux, but, I am able to eat dairy products and drink milk. You could very well have an intolerance to milk products, thus causing the uncomfortable feelings.

I would see a gastroenterologist and have gall bladder ruled out and also an upper GI to make sure there is nothing else going on. Also, a food allergy panel for dairy products would be good to have as well to see if you are indeed allergic to those types of foods.

I it so hard to tell I am 43 I have acid reflux (15 years now) non-ulser, dyspepsia and GERD.  I am going for my 3rd scope thursday.  Have you had a scope done?  The scope told me exactly what was wrong and more than the doctor thought.  Also not knowing about non-ulser dyspepsia I should be scoped yearly as it is a high risk for cancer.  I would defineatly ask your doctor if a scope would be a good this for you.

Said you are constipated, do you take any pain medication?
