Help my vagina is burning

Ok this is my last resort.  Sure normally that would be the doctor but not this time.
For the past 2 years I have had a recurrent vaginal infection of some sort.  Sometimes its a yeast infection.  Sometimes its a bacterial infection.  And sometimes they call it a mixed infection.  Here is the problem I have been to the doctor numerous times and the infection only clears up for a few days.  I couldn't put my finguer on it.  About a month ago I ended up in the hospital for another reason but they put me on a drug similar to cipro.  My vagina hasn't felt that good in ages.  Along with all the other symptoms it cleared up.  When I got home my boyfriend and I had sex a couple days later.  And BOOM infection.  My discharge is sticky and yellow-bloody.  The odor is just musty not fishy or yeasty.  But the worse part is that the dischage burns my lips so bad eventualy they become itchy.  I am so tired of being "sick" down there.  I have tried everything.  Douching not doching.  Every cream they make.  Even prescription creams.  I try to sleep without clothes on but that is getting hard because there is so much discharge.  I even tried homeopathic medicine and they help the most.  I was thinking that I should go to planned parenthood they always did a good job for me when I had no insurance but I have been to the doctor a hundred times and am tired of being disappointed.

Hi I didn't want you to think I was saying to stop the antibiotic. I am not a doctor so do check with your doctor but please research candida. Good luck.

I think what ever antibiotics you use your boyfriend should use it as well, and for that period when you are on it try not to have sex or use protection. Have you ever try flagyl 400 if not try it for about 14 day 2 tablets per day.

Every heard of candida? It's over active yeast in the body. Some people get thrush and some people get chronic yeast infections. Things like cipro will make you worse because antibiotics make yeast in the body go crazy.
Yeast thrives on sugar. So if you eat sugar, cakes, cookies, sugar in your coffee, cereal, drink soda, sugar is in everything. It brings on the over active yeast. The doctors don't ever bring this up I'm sure some of them must know about it but there isn't a quick pill for it.
There are Yeast Cleanses you can do.  I take Grape Fruit Seed Extract, it helps a lot with over active yeast. I  get thrush not the vaginal infections but it's the same thing.  So if you can try to eliminate some of the yeast producing things in your diet and see if it helps.  Also do a search on vitamins and herbs you can take to help you eliminate the cause not just the symptoms. Try to avoid the antibiotic.
So do a search on Candida and how to cure it.  I hope this helps.
