Mouse in my salad

I bought a salad about one+ hours ago from a fast food franchise.  It had fresh greens with chicken.  Several bites into it I noticed the globby mass at the bottom and found the entire mouse with some insides showing.  I am not making this up.  I am writing because I'm concerned that, maybe I should be concerned about tetnus or some other bacterial issue.  As of yet, I'm fine.  But it's past midnight and not a good time to reach anyone who would know.  I have been assured that the manager will call me tomorrow.  He/she will probably offer me a free salad, which I will decline.  How concerned should I be.  Again, this is not a made up story.  I think that I am current on my tetnus shot but will call my M.d tomorrow to check

Thank you all for responding. I felt no ill physical side effects the next day. Called the doctor, of course. And the County Health dept, and Corp Headqua.in Calif.  The local HR person said that they had issued a recall on tHe greens of the salad. Frankly, I don't think that they believed me judging by their cool, guarded tone..A little insult to injury. If I served a meal unknowingly laced with dead field rat to a guest, I'd be very apologetic and mortified and offer assistance if needed for unforseen effects.. Corp. structure is very impersonal on this front. Thank you again.  I have just a Blackberry Storm and not a computer. BB's work clumsily on sites for communicating so I will likely not be typing more communiques on MedHelp

Let it go.

The chances that you have suffered any real harm is virtually non-existant.

These things happen ocasionally.

You could probably have an attorney initiate what is called a tort, but obtaining damages is another thing. Fugaddaboutit.

Go on to the next thing.

Call the ER as soon as possible, I would say that you have a good cause for sueing that resturant, I mean, that is totally uncalled for. I would also insist that they pay for all doctor bills and anything else this might bring on. I would contact the paper as well and let them know too.

This is a genuine lawsuit. Think of how many pplo this may happen to or have already happened to!! Something should be done to increase this fast food company's safety standards and food inspection techniques. I hope nothing happens to u and that would totally gross me out to have found that at the bottom of my salad!!!! And I don't get grossed out easily

Seriously, call your local ER, not 911. Tell the person on the phone what happened and ask if you should go in right away or you could wait til tomorrow and see your family doctor. The place you got the salad from needs to pay for your medical care or threaten to go to a lawyer or your local news channel. That it one of the most disgusting things that could happen to you and youcould get sick with any number of other diseases rodents carry. Call the ER, I wish you well.
