Oral lesions

Trying to determine what is the best treatment for red, irritated oral mucosa and it's cause.  I have spent much time in the tropics and am currently waiting for more albendazole to treat an intestinal parasite I have......symptoms have primarily been anal irritation, itching, etc.  These responded well to a 5 day course of 400mg albendazole daily.  That was back in June.  No retreatment done.  Symptoms have now returned, awaiting meds and now I have oral lesions.....errythema, sensitivity, pain but primarily only in the forward 1/4 of my mouth.  Could this also be due to the unknown intestinal parasite that responds to albendazole???  My other concerns around these symptoms are chronic ibuprofen use and marginally elevaged BP possibly indicating some kidney malfunction, vs possible exposure to HSV2 during oral sex.  Though the lesions do not look herpetic.  My biggest problem is that I am in a remote location with little to no medical testing available.  Any help in figuring this out, and making myself more comfortable till it resolves would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, It is difficult to say what is causing it.  It could be possible that it is yeast related., yeast could also be the anal issue as well.  You may have contracted the yeast issue as a side effect of the prior albendazole treatment.   Try eating yogurt to help decrease the yeast if that is the case.  If that doesn't help your problem try swishing warm salt water or diluted Listerine mouthwash in your mouth several times daily.

Generally yeast infections require Nystatin swish and swallow,  and Diflucan-which is an antimicrobial agent, if it is severe enough.  You can also try using Monostat or Miconazole-that is generally used for vaginal yeast infections around your anal region as well and see if helps eliminate those symptoms.  I Hope This Helps.

I would have to agree with Sassylassie.  You have alot going on at once and need to find someone in the closest town/city that can help you sort this out.  Even if we could figure this out you will still more that likely need treatment.

You need to see a good dentist about this and also your primary care physician, sounds like you have a couple of issues going on at once.
