brief lightheadedness 4-5 times a day

I have been having very brief lightheadedness for about a week now.  It started when i was in line christmas shopping and lasted 3-4 seconds.  Ever since then i get brief relapses.  I have checked my own sugar levels (normal) and my BP was 125/75 hr 68 and i was sitting down when it happened.

I have a bad habit of taking a hair clip and scratching an ear itch or cleaning out wax.  Could i have caused an infection?

well the first time it happened had had some mac and cheese with bacon, other minor times i was low fat.

can blood sugar spikes only last for a couple of seconds and go away?  seems odd that after an episode (within 2-3min) i take my sugar and its normal.

I did go to the docs yesterday and ruled out my heart, which is all i needed to hear really.

she did say that my sinuses could be the cause and gave me some clariton (non d)

My guess is your blood sugar cycling up and down.  Unless you take blood sugar measurements throughout the day, you will not know it, as one reading only does not tell the whole story.  Have you noticed any pattern with what you eat and dizzy spells?  For example, if you eat protein+fat breakfast (eggs, cheese, bacon, etc) versus a carb rich one (low fat muffin), you would likely feel better with protein+fat and otherwise dizzy with carb rich meal (which causes blood sugar cycling).
